There are four options for divorce and there is no one size fits all best answer for every couple. There are many good mediators in NJ. At www.mediateddivorce.org you can find a list of mediators. In addition if you want personal advice you can consult with a lawyer. But once you hire the lawyer you are choosing another process. The key is this - consult the lawyer and pay the hourly rate versus hire the lawyer and pay a retainer. Which one works better for you?
