My friend and colleague Brooke Deratany Goldfarb sent me this wonderful story. It was part of a short play in her daughter's theater class. But, Brooke saw the tale as a wonderful illustration of the potential fall out from a litigated divorce, with the loss of the cheese signifying the loss of dignity as well as personal possessions.
